Piotr and Jan Siestrzeńcewicz
My name is Jan
Siestrzeńcewicz. I am 42 years
old. I live in Warsaw with
my brother Piotr, who is three years
older than me. We belong to the Roman Catholic parish of Divine Mercy in Saska Kępa, where we serve as altar boys.
We were raised by our grandfather Antoni, as our parents had
their parental rights suspended due to health reasons.
For similar reasons, we are not able to start our own families.
This does not worry us, but we are happy that we have each other
in a close brotherly friendship.
Grandpa loved us very much, just
like our parents, and through his love he passed on to us the faith in God.
We spent our childhood largely in Grandpa Lisiecki's educational center - in the
"Starówka" center in the Old Town in Warsaw. We have very fond
memories of this period. Interesting attractions, games and activities organized by educators were a relief for us from the somewhat difficult home and family situation related to the aforementioned illness of our parents.
My (Janka's) adventure with
music also began in Ognisko. There I started attending music classes with the teacher Kazimierz Zawadzki. In 1996 he engaged
me to participate in a song festival,
first in the Old Town - I
won this festival - and two days later
- in the inter-Ognisko song festival
in Świder. I also won this festival, which was also a big surprise and abundant joy for me. Thanks to this success, a year later I was chosen for a children's music group that went to the United States; to Chicago for a religious
song festival in October
1997. We won the Golden Note
there in the Debut category. This trip, which I received
as a gift, was fascinating
for me, as since childhood
I was very interested in skyscrapers and American cities
in general. I am very grateful to those who organized
this trip - former Ognisko pupils, who were guided
by the principle of Grandpa
Lisiecki "Give back, take something".
Along with my interest in singing, I developed a passion for photography. In 2003,
I won an inter-school photography competition called "Warsaw We Don't Know", and in 2007 I
won four awards in an international photography competition.
In 2005, after the death of
St. John Paul II, I began to read
a lot of signs from heaven,
which I see that the Pope obtained
for me. Through these signs,
God directed me in such a way that
in 2007, together with Piotrek, we created material for our music album, which we started recording immediately after our mother's death in 2009. I am the vocalist of these songs, and the author of almost all the lyrics (in English) is Piotrek
(the rest is mine). All the compositions are also mine. The arrangements were created according to my vision by a musician hired by us - Romuald Vorbrodt. This album was created in 2010 and in 2013 one of the songs
was accepted to the radio "Lista z Mocą" -
a list of Christian music hits.
In total, there were three of our
songs on this list, which I performed in 2015 at a family picnic in our parish. It was my second performance at such a picnic and in 2016 I had my recital in our church, which was warmly received. In 2017 I performed as a member of the choir of the "Jesus at the Stadium" event at the
National Stadium. From that
moment on, through prayer
and signs, I was directed
to take a lot of photos of Warsaw, of which I have now selected
over twenty thousand.
In 2022 and 2024, I sent a total
of ten applications (92 photos)
to the international photography
competition and they won
ten awards - second place, two distinctions and 7 "Official Selection" awards.
In 2023, in cooperation with the record
label "Delphy Records", our song
"Ciągle Wierzę w Nas" was created, which was broadcast on five Catholic,
local, analogue radio stations, as well as on the more nationwide analogue station "Radio
Wnet". This song was also
presented on the "List with Power" I mentioned. The editor who runs this
list has said many times that
this is her
favorite song on this list.
Piotrek, my brother, has slightly different interests and talents. When he was a member of Ogniska,
in the nineties, he was awarded
the title of sportsman of the year
for his successes in skiing (he won two competitions), football and running
(he won several races). In later years, Piotrek took up learning English in particular, which is his exceptional
interest to this day. Recently, Piotrek passed the FCE (First Certificate of
English) mock exam. Piotrek
continues to develop his childhood sports
interests by playing
ping-pong at weekly amateur tournaments. Piotrek is also very
helpful to those in need. For a dozen or so years
he was the closest collaborator
of the well-known priest in
Poland, Stanisław Małkowski. Father Stanisław corresponded with prisoners, and
Piotrek almost every day took letters
and packages prepared by
the priest for prisoners to
the post office. Piotrek did
this selflessly, just as he also shows such help
to our neighbors and elderly people from our parish, for whom he often does
shopping and performs other
favors.
With Piotrek's support, I
run websites where over ten thousand of my photos are published,
mainly of Warsaw, but also of other Polish
cities. On these pages there is
also a testimony, in which I tell about
the thousands of signs that I see that
I have received from heaven, and which refer especially to works related to our talents - Piotrek's
and mine. These numerous signs show that these works
are part of the spark mentioned in the Divine Mercy Diary of Saint Sister Faustina Kowalska, which will prepare
the world for the second
coming of Christ. As I wrote
in my "Thoughts on Heaven",
this spark is Jesus Christ,
who is particularly
clearly present in the world." And He is and will be clearly present in this world, especially through us - Piotrek and me, through our lives,
our testimony and works related to our talents.
One of the gifts of the Spark of Divine
Mercy is that I am characterized
by maximum sensitivity to the conditions
of beauty, which Saint
Thomas Aquinas wrote about (being, order and unity, as
well as light and knowability). This sensitivity is responsible for commercial aesthetics, which means that I have
unique talents on a global scale for pop music, advertising, commercial photography, advertising graphics, industrial design, mass catering and more,
i.e. all areas that are the opposite,
equivalent pole of high-artistic ,
expressive, classical aesthetics. I received this sensitivity (discovered it in myself) immediately after the evangelization retreat of the Renewal in the
Holy Spirit (in 2002), during
which I entrusted myself completely to the Lord Jesus, and when I was when asked what
I was asking the Holy Spirit
for, I answered: "That
I may evangelize the youth with my words and be an instrument in the hand of God's Mercy." From that moment on, I began to write many theological
and philosophical thoughts,
of which there are already over
four hundred on the website oniebie.pl .
Up until that moment, I had not been able to put
together a single such thought, although I tried very hard. Similarly, I received the aforementioned aesthetic sensitivity as the "tool"
I had asked for. It is possible that
no one else in the world has the maximum sensitivity to
the conditions of beauty,
and this sensitivity gives such an
effect that what I like, half and half becomes a hit, and what becomes a hit, I like half and
half. This rule has been confirmed
by thousands of my aesthetic
experiences. I have not encountered such a striking sensitivity in any famous creator.
That is why
the music album we recorded
has the potential to be exceptionally catchy (I wrote about it
in more detail on the website znakiskry.pl/omuzyce ).
The world has not yet recognized this album, because no record company has released it.
The signs I mentioned point
us to the Universal Music Group
label. That is why now
our concern is to achieve cooperation
with this company, especially in the scope of publishing our music album mentioned by me.
This work is aimed at
sharing our music, photos and graphics for the joy of many people, and also so that
through the connection of our music (and not only) with our testimony and the mentioned thoughts, many non-believers will discover and love the truth about the existence of God and the merciful God, who has
shown us such great mercy
in our entire lives, as our testimony
speaks of, and especially
the signs that I describe on the mentioned website ( www.znakiiskry.pl ).
